By accessing or using FounderSold at foundersold.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers. By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
FounderSold is an online database that aggregates publicly available information about indie startup acquisitions, primarily under $1M in sale price. The Service includes:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in abusive behavior toward the Service or other users.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion removes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The Pro plan is available on a monthly ($19/month) or annual ($149/year) basis. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, legal action.
FounderSold aggregates exit data from publicly available sources including founder blog posts, podcast interviews, acquisition announcements, and community platforms. We make reasonable efforts to verify data before publishing, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information in the database.
Nothing on FounderSold constitutes financial, legal, or investment advice. Exit data is provided for informational and benchmarking purposes only. Before making any business or financial decision — including selling or buying a company — consult qualified professional advisors.
Sale prices, multiples, and revenue figures shown are as reported at the time of the transaction and may not reflect current market conditions.
By submitting an exit story through our submission tool, you grant FounderSold a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted content as part of the database.
You represent that: (a) you have the right to share the information submitted; (b) the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge; and (c) the submission does not violate any confidentiality agreement, NDA, or applicable law.
We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any submission that we deem inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, at our sole discretion.
The FounderSold platform, including its design, code, branding, compiled database structure, and editorial content (descriptions, lessons learned, exit stories written by our team), is owned by FounderSold and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our platform or compiled database without explicit written permission.
Individual facts (e.g., a company sold for $300K in 2023) are not copyrightable. Our original editorial work, analysis, and structured database format are protected.
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and database), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or data practices of these third parties.
Links to external founder blogs, acquisition announcements, and podcast episodes are provided for reference only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content of external sites.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any data in the database is accurate, complete, or current.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOUNDERSOLD AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms, without prior notice and without liability to you. You may also terminate your account at any time.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel any active subscription before the changes take effect.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the Kingdom of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
